Stop Gambling with Your Commercial A/C System!

As you may know, all air conditioning units naturally lose efficiency over time due to the rigorous strains that they're placed under during extreme heat or cold. This effect is multiplied even bigger in commercial systems because they are moving much larger amounts of air for longer intervals. Over time, even a modern, high SEER unit can be reduced to 30-50% of it's stated efficiency just from being used on a daily basis.

That's why commercial tune ups are so critically important for the health your your air conditioning system. If properly serviced annually, your units can last up to 20 years longer and remain above 90% factory efficiency for decades.

Now, you may wonder what that means for your heating and cooling systems- what if they've never been serviced before? Or they haven't been serviced in years? Chances are good that your systems are working harder than they need to be just to keep up with daily demand. But by having them serviced, you can gain a good portion of that original efficiency back and avoid any potential problems down the road.

Is it Cost Effective to Have My Commercial Units Serviced?

Absolutely! While the price of preventative maintenance varies depending on the type of unit(s) you have and the complexity of the initial installation, the total cost will often be completely offset by the overall savings in power consumption. Since servicing your A/C system also extends the life of your equipment and makes a breakdown much less likely, it actually saves you money in the long run AND ensures that your business is being environmentally friendly. It's a win/win for you and the environment.

During a typical maintenance visit, our highly qualified commercial A/C technicians will-

  • Thorough Cleaning and Inspection

Anything that blocks airflow will eventually destroy your system, so we will thoroughly clean your coils, condensers, blower components and more until your system looks new again.
  • Lubricate and Adjust Components

Likewise, we will tighten your fan belt(s), grease any bearings, check condenser drains and perform a number of other tune-ups to keep your system working smoothly.
  • Verify Proper Coolant Levels

If your system is low on coolant, this can cause permanent damage to your compressor or simply make your system run inefficiently. We will adjust your Freon levels accordingly to keep you optimized.
  • Check System Diagnostics

If your thermostat or any of your other hardware is not sending proper signals, then your system is likely being overloaded or not functioning efficiently. We verify that there are n potential issues.
  • Seek Out Issues with Ductwork

Leaks and tears in your ductwork makes your system lose efficiency while working much harder to keep up with daily operation. We will inspect all of your ductwork and make repairs as needed.
  • Inspect All Electrical Wiring

By ensuring that all of your electrical is up to code, tightened down properly, and properly installed, it greatly reduces the chances of a short in the system or a fire.

When is the Best Time for Commercial Maintenance?

At Buckshot Services, we generally try to schedule all of our commercial A/C clients for service in the late Fall/early Winter since the systems will not be in use. We do offer discount maintenance agreements for our customers on an annual schedule as well, which benefits you since you don't have to wonder if your system is running at optimal levels. It's not a problem if you forget to book an appointment in advance though; just give us a call any time of year and we will happily schedule a service visit to inspect your system and get it running like new again.
